Amber Hill Physical Therapy is owned and operated by Donald J. Novak, a well-known and respected member of the physical therapy profession in Frederick and western Maryland.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Rocky Mountain University of Health Care Professionals.
In addition he has a Strength and Conditioning Certification from the Professional Health and Fitness Institute. He also holds certifications in acute and chronic back pain, scoliosis, and fitness and sports training from the Pneu-Back Performance Program.
Don has extensive training and experience in a wide variety of manual therapy techniques including muscle energy and myofacial techniques and sports medicine.
Along with his 30 years of experience as a physical therapist, he has taken continuing education courses on rehabilitation of orthopedic and neurological impairments.
Don is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).In recognition of his expertise and contributions to physical therapy in Maryland, Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. appointed Don to the State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners in 2005.
